About the author

KATYA FEDOROVA

Journalist and media and lifestyle brand specialist with 20 years of experience in the Russian and international fashion industry. Has worked at Vogue Russia, Interview, and The Blueprint. Founded the popular Telegram channel Good Morning Karl. Publishes in The Business of Fashion, Novaya Gazeta Europa, Zima Magazine, and other outlets.

In her writing, she examines fashion as a tool of business, politics, and social processes — not just what people wear, but why, and what lies behind it.

She is developing an educational programme on the history of Soviet and post-Soviet fashion — the first of its kind in English, taught by someone who knows the industry from the inside. She has lived in Barcelona since 2022.
